Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council. January 2003 – Present.  Consultant to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ (DACS) Pest Control Enforcement advisory Council (PCEAC), an eleven member statutorily charged stakeholder advisory body to the DACS. Council advises DACS regarding the regulation of pest control practices and advises government agencies with respect to their related pest control responsibilities. Ongoing responsibilities include process design, facilitation and reporting, conflict resolution, and consensus building. In addition to ongoing duties, assisted Council in reaching consensus on Council’s decision-making procedures and meeting participation guidelines, mission statement and guiding principles, and action workplan.

Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Florida Coordinating Council on Mosquito Control. January 2003 – Present.  Consultant to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services‘ (DACS), Florida Coordinating Council on Mosquito Control (FCCMC), a sixteen member statutorily charged advisory body including representatives from DEP, DACS, FWC, USEPA, USDA, and USFWS. Council advises state and federal agencies regarding guidelines for resolving disputes, identifying research priorities and funding sources, and best management practices for the control of arthropods on publicly owned lands. Ongoing responsibilities include process design, facilitation and reporting, conflict resolution, and consensus building. In addition to ongoing duties, assisted Council in reaching consensus on Council’s decision-making procedures and meeting participation guidelines, mission statement and guiding principles, and action workplan.

Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Pesticide Review Council. July 2010 – Present. Consultant to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ (DACS), Pesticide Review Council (PRC), a statutorily charged advisory body including representatives from DACS, DEP, DOH, FWC, UF-IFAS, WMD, pesticide industry, environmentalist, hydrologist, toxicologist, and grower. Council advises DACS regarding the sale, use, and registration of pesticides and advises government agencies, including the State University System, with respect to those activities related to their responsibilities regarding pesticides. PRC recommends appropriate scientific studies on any registered pesticide and for actions to be taken with respect to the sale or use of a pesticide reviewed by the Council relative to protecting the environment and/or human health from unreasonably adverse effects, and reviews biological and alternate controls to replace or reduce the use of pesticides. Ongoing responsibilities include process design, facilitation and reporting, conflict resolution, and consensus building. In addition to ongoing duties, assisted Council in reaching consensus on Council’s decision-making procedures and meeting participation guidelines, mission statement and guiding principles, and action workplan.

Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Florida Bed Bug Workgroup. September 2011 – Present. Consultant to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ (FDACS), regarding Florida Bed Bug Workgroup, agency and industry stakeholder workgroup charged with coordinating agency efforts in bed bug control and education, dissemination public information with a consistent message, and working collaboratively to encourage the use of safe, effective control measures. Ongoing responsibilities include process design, facilitation and reporting, conflict resolution, and consensus-building. In addition to ongoing duties, assisted Workgroup in reaching consensus on decision-making procedures and meeting participation guidelines, mission statement and guiding principles, and an action workplan.

Department of Business and Professional Regulation (Previously the Department of Community Affairs). Florida Building Commission Workgroups. 1999 – Present. Responsibilities involve working with stakeholder groups to build consensus on special issue projects for the Florida Building Commission.
